GUIDELINES:

Registration of Vehicles:

For the Registration of the vehicle one has to apply to the Registering Authority with in seven days of purchase along with the following documents.

  • 1. Application in form-20
  • 2. Sale certificate in form-21
  • 3.Form 22 issued by Dealer
  • 4.Valid insurance certificate
  • 5.Proof of Address
  • 6.Temporary registration, if any
  • 7.Form-A under Taxation Act, 1997
  • 8.Fees Specified in Rule 81
  • 9.Passport size photograph
  • 10.In case of imported vehicle, Custom clearance certificate along with the license and bond

For Renewal of RC:

The application has to be submitted along with the following documents.

  • 1. Form 25
  • 2. Registration certificate
  • 3.Insurance certificate
  • 4.Pollution Under Control certificate
  • 5.Fees payment receipt
  • 6.Proof of address

For Duplicate RC:

The application has to be submitted along with the following documents.

  • 1. Form 26
  • 2. Insurance certificate
  • 3.Fees payment receipt
  • 4.Copy of FIR
  • 5.Affidavit stating that RC is lost and has not been impounded

For the Transfer of the Ownership of Motor vehicle:

The application has to be submitted along with the following documents.

  • 1. Form 29 and 30
  • 2. Registration certificate
  • 3.Insurance certificate
  • 4.N.O.C. of the vehicle, if registered outside Uttarakhand
  • 5.Fees as specified in Rule-81
  • 6. Passport size photograph of Purchaser and Seller
  • 7. Tax clearance certificate

Transfer of ownership in case of death:

The application has to be submitted along with the following documents.

  • 1. Form 31
  • 2. Death certificate in relation to the registered owner
  • 3.Certificate of the registration and the insurance
  • 4.Proof of succession
  • 5.Passport size photograph

Vehicle purchase in public auction:

The application has to be submitted along with the following documents

  • 1. Form 32
  • 2. Certificate of registration and insurance
  • 3.Certificate of order confirming the sale of vehicle in his favour by the person authorized to conduct the auction
  • 4.Certified copy of the order of the government authorizing the auction of the vehicle
  • 5.Fees specified in Rule-81
  • 6. Passport size photograph of purchaser

For Grant of No Objection certificate:

The grant of NOC, one has to apply with the following documents.

  • 1. Form 28 in triplicate
  • 2. Registration certificate
  • 3.Insurance certificate
  • 4.Tax clearance certificate
  • 5.Pollution Under Control certificate
  • 6. Fees payment receipt

For change of Address in RC:

The application has to be submitted along with the following documents.

  • 1. Form 33
  • 2. Insurance certificate
  • 3.Registration certificate
  • 4.Pollution Under Control certificate
  • 5.Fees payment receipt
  • 6. Proof of address
