चारधाम यात्रा पर आने वाले तीर्थ यात्री कृपया ध्यान दें

1- बस, टैक्सी/मैक्सी कैब वाहनों के माध्यम से यात्रा करने की स्थिति में सम्बन्धित वाहन का तकनीकी निरीक्षण के उपरान्त ग्रीन कार्ड जारी करने की व्यवस्था है, जिसकी वैधता 02 माह होती है।

2- उक्त ग्रीन कार्ड परिवहन विभाग के ऋषिकेश कार्यालय के साथ-साथ अन्य संभागीय/उप संभागीय कार्यालय से भी प्राप्त किया जा सकता है।

3- ग्रीन कार्ड जारी करते समय एवं यात्रा चैकपोस्ट से गुजरते समय यह चैक किया जायेगा कि यात्रियों की सूची सीमा चैकपोस्ट से सत्यापित है एवं उस पर परिवहन विभाग का होलोग्राम चस्पा है। अतः यात्रियों से अनुरोध है कि राज्य में प्रवेश करते समय चैकपोस्ट पर रूक कर यात्री सूची का सत्यापन अनिवार्य रूप से करवा लें।

Tips For Pilgrimage
What Transport Modes Are Available
iconTransport facility during yatra season is available at Rishikesh as well as at Haridwar.
Various modes are:
1) Buses on contract
2) Route Buses
3) Maxi Cabs (up to 12 seats)
4) Taxi Cabs
iconThe last terminal for rail transport from other provinces is at Rishikesh.
Most of the trains reach up to Haridwar. The distance from Haridwar to Rishikesh is 24 Kms.
iconJolly Grant is the only Airport situated at a distance of 18 Km. from Rishikesh, the only
airport up to where one can reach by air from other parts of the country.
Which Type Of Vehicle Should Be Used
1) The Buses on contract for Char Dham Yatra should not be of larger size. Admissible wheel base
buses is not more than 166 inches and Over hang should not be more than 50 percent.

2) The pilgrims (other than those having their own vehicles) are advised only to board authorized
vehicles ( Buses, Maxi Cabs, Taxi Cabs ) with valid Documents e.g. with valid Permit, Taxes,
Insurance and Driving License etc.
Which Season Is Suitable For The Yatra

How Many Days Does It Take To Complete The Yatra

The minimum required time period for the journey of :
All Char Dham - 10 Days
Teen Dham - 7 Days
Do Dham - 5 Days
Ek Dham - 3 Days

What One Should Carry Along While Going For Yatra


Rain suits, Umbrella, Torch, Woolens, Caps, First Aid, minimum luggage etc

What Tips a Driver Should Follow
Pilgrims having own cars should have High skill of Hill Road Driving or should have high skilled drivers on the steering duty. Some of the recommended tips for such a driver are:
1 Always keep your vehicle on left side of the Road
2 Use Horn at curves on hills
3 Never overtake the overtaking vehicle
4 Use shoes instead of slippers while driving
5 Never drive an overloaded vehicle
6 Steering duty should not be more than Eight hours a day
7 Use Dippers at night and appropriate signals on Road while Driving
8 Keep wooden ' Gutka' in the vehicle while driving on hills
9 Check your Brakes and Hand Brakes before starting journey
10 Check your speed while driving on hills
11 Always give way to upcoming vehicle/vehicles
12 Night driving is prohibited on hills
13 Keep your valid vehicle's documents with you to avoid inconvenience
14 Check the Headlights, Break light and Parking lights of your vehicle
