    Registration of Vehicles:

    For the Registration of the vehicle, one has to apply to the Registering Authority within seven days of purchase along with the following documents.

    • Application in form-20
    • Sale certificate in form-21
    • Form 22 issued by Dealer
    • Valid insurance certificate
    • Proof of Address
    • Temporary registration, if any
    • Form-A under Taxation Act, 1997
    • Fees Specified in Rule 81
    • Passport size photograph
    • In case of an imported vehicle, a  Custom clearance certificate along with the license and bond

    For Renewal of RC:

    The application has to be submitted along with the following documents.

    • Form 25
    • Registration certificate
    • Insurance certificate
    • Pollution Under Control certificate
    • Fee payment receipt
    • Proof of address

    For Duplicate RC:

    The application has to be submitted along with the following documents.

    • Form 26
    • Insurance certificate
    • Fee payment receipt
    • Copy of FIR
    • Affidavit stating that RC is lost and has not been impounded

    For the Transfer of the Ownership of Motor vehicle:

    The application has to be submitted along with the following documents.

    • Form 29 and 30
    • Registration certificate
    • Insurance certificate
    • N.O.C. of the vehicle, if registered outside Uttarakhand
    • Fees as specified in Rule-81
    • Passport size photograph of Purchaser and Seller
    • Tax clearance certificate

    Transfer of ownership in case of Vehicle Owner’s death:

    The application has to be submitted along with the following documents.

    • Form 31
    • Death certificate in relation to the registered owner
    • Certificate of registration and insurance
    • Proof of succession
    • Passport size photograph
    • Fee Payment Receipt

    Vehicle purchase in public auction:

    The application has to be submitted along with the following documents

    • Form 32
    • Certificate of registration and insurance
    • Certificate of the order confirming the sale of the vehicle in his favor by the person authorized to conduct the auction
    • Certified copy of the order of the government authorizing the auction of the vehicle
    • Fees specified in Rule-81
    • Passport-size photograph of the purchaser

    For Grant of No Objection certificate:

    For the grant of NOC, one has to apply with the following documents.

    • Form 28 in triplicate
    • Registration certificate
    • Insurance certificate
    • Tax clearance certificate
    • Pollution Under Control certificate
    • Fee payment receipt

    For a change of Address in RC:

    The application has to be submitted along with the following documents.

    • Form 33
    • Insurance certificate
    • Registration certificate
    • Pollution Under Control certificate
    • Fee payment receipt
    • Proof of address

    For Renewal of Fitness Certificate of Vehicle:

    The application has to be submitted along with the following documents.

    • Registration certificate
    • Valid Insurance certificate
    • Valid Pollution Under Control certificate
    • Proof of Valid Motor Vehicle Tax
    • Copy of Valid Permit / Authorization
    • Letter of Fitment of Speed Limiting Device (SLD) (if applicable)
    • Fee payment receipt
